AXIS taps Zurich veteran to head cyber risk advisory

AXIS Capital has appointed David Shluger to be head of cyber risk advisory. 

The Bermuda-based company said Schluger will oversee an “ambitious strategy” to elevate its programme of cyber risk advisory products and services to help its partners, customers, and colleagues to build greater awareness and preparedness around current and emerging cyber risks.

Schluger will report to head of global cyber and technology Lori Bailey who said: “I’m delighted David has taken on this pivotal role as we realise the significant opportunity to deliver stand-out risk advisory and engineering products and services to our partners and customers.”

Schluger was previously at Zurich from 2009 until this year and was vice president of cybersecurity services for Zurich Resilience Solutions. 

AXIS said Schluger’s background in cyber and his skill at working collaboratively across multiple disciplines to get the best outcome will be a significant asset.
