QBE has hired Saadia Savory (pictured), a former Aspen vice president and casualty manager, to help grow its casualty insurance business.
Savory’s upcoming role at QBE Bermuda represents a significant step in the company’s strategy to enhance its casualty risk solutions, the the global re/insurer said. Her appointment aligns with QBE’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Bermuda following the recent issuance of Class 4 licences.
QBE said in a statement: “After receiving Class 4 licences last year, our Bermudian captive reinsurers QBE Capital Ltd and QBE Capital [Global] Ltd are now both authorised to underwrite third-party business.
“This evolved proposition improves our access to markets and supports our growth priorities and portfolio optimisation. It demonstrates our commitment to the Bermudian market, and it brings enhanced capabilities to our brokers and customers.”
