Conduit Re engages Winfried Knust to expand specialty underwriting

Conduit Re has named Winfried Knust, former underwriting manager and head of Zurich operations at Navigators Re, to support growth across credit, surety, political risk and mortgage reinsurance as the Bermuda-based reinsurer selectively broadens its product appetite and diversifies its portfolio.

Knust joins the business with more than three decades of experience across the four classes. He was most recently underwriting manager and head of Zurich operations at Navigators Re, where he managed a global team writing trade credit, surety and political risk business. He previously held senior underwriting roles at Aspen Re and Converium (Scor), developing and managing credit reinsurance portfolios.
