Transamerica Life Bermuda has strengthened its Asian high-net-worth portfolio with the appointment of a new chief commercial officer.
The specialist insurer, which works with high-net-worth individuals, has launched Opus One indexed universal life (IUL) solutions aimed at wealthy individuals in Hong Kong — one of the territory’s first batch of insurers to do so.
Brandon Szeto has become its chief commercial officer, reinforcing Transamerica Life Bermuda’s commitment to innovation and leadership in the HNW insurance space, the company said.
HNW customers are increasingly seeking access to sophisticated and globally diversified wealth growth instruments with built-in legacy protection and succession planning enablers, said the insurer.
Kristine Ung, chief executive officer of Transamerica Life Bermuda said: “This launch reflects our ambition to lead globally in the HNW life insurance space. We are investing in the right talent and capabilities to deliver sophisticated, client-centric solutions across our key markets. Opus One is another example of how we’re bringing that vision to life.”
Szeto added: “Opus One is designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s HNW clients. With features like the volatility controlled VC uncapped index account and flexible protection and liquidity options, we’re empowering clients to grow and preserve their wealth with confidence. I’m excited to lead our commercial strategy as we deepen our presence in Asia and beyond.”
