Hamilton team joins Mosaic

New private equity-backed insurer Mosaic, which celebrated six months of operations in August, has made appointments to its leadership team. Tim Glover and David White join the London office as chief underwriting officer and underwriting director, respectively.

Both were have worked together since the launch of Pembroke Syndicate 4000  in 2004, with Glover a founder and later chief executive officer of the syndicate, and White its founding underwriter, who established its professional lines division, which he ran for a decade.

Both continued working together following its acquisition by  Hamilton Managing Agency in 2019. Glover served as CEO and a member of Hamilton Group’s executive leadership team, while White was its chief underwriting officer.

“Tim and David are long-time colleagues who both have stellar track records in this industry and complete alignment with our team in their vision for the next generation of global specialty insurance,” said Mosaic Co-CEO Mark Wheeler. “They bring immense value to our company, and I’m gratified to welcome them into the Mosaic family.”

Mosaic launched operations in Bermuda, London, the United States and Asia in February, backed by private equity firm Golden Gate Capital. It combines Lloyd’s Syndicate 1609 with a wholly-owned syndicated capital management agency, enabling the company to identify, source and underwrite business on behalf of itself and other trade-capital partners. Its six lines of business so far are transactional liability, cyber, political risk, political violence, financial and professional lines.
