Enstar acquires closed-life operations from HSBC

Enstar announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Household Insurance Group Holding Company of HSBC Insurance Company of Delaware.

Three subsidiary insurers were included in the deal, for which Enstar paid $155.7 million. The acquisition will add approximately $1.4 billion of cash and investments to Enstar’s balance sheet.
