Tristram Prior to spearhead IQUW Bermuda professional lines launch

Specialty re/insurer IQUW Bermuda has turned to its talent pipeline, pushing Tristram Prior (pictured) up the ladder to launch directors’ and officers’ (D&O), financial institutions (FI) and cyber insurance products in Bermuda.

Prior will transfer to Bermuda from his role as lead underwriter in London, subject to immigration approval, to spearhead the developments as head of professional lines and cyber insurance, Bermuda.

Prior will report to James Mitchell, chief underwriting officer of property direct and facultative insurance. All insurance products are subject to BMA approval.

The launch reflects an increasing global demand for sophisticated risk solutions across professional lines, cyber and property markets, driven by evolving regulatory environments, digital transformation and heightened risk complexity. By bringing these capabilities to the Bermuda market, IQUW said it aims to provide brokers and clients with enhanced access to underwriting expertise and data-led risk solutions across key international markets.

This announcement follows IQUW reinsurance product expansion into mortgage, credit and cyber business.
