The Fidelis Partnership expands in Ireland with European HQ move
Bermuda-based specialty reinsurer The Fidelis Partnership has planted its flag in Irish soil, relocating its European headquarters from Brussels.
The move establishes Dublin as the hub through which The Fidelis Partnership will access the EU market, further supporting the business’s European growth objectives as well as reflecting its increasing investment in Ireland in particular. This structural change underscores its long-term commitment to building a stronger and more dynamic presence in the region while continuing to support a broad range of business across Europe.
Over the past 12 months, The Fidelis Partnership has grown its Dublin headcount to over 80 – with recent hires including underwriter Paul Hendrix, who joined in October, and Michelle Raine, who joined as a senior D&F underwriter in November. This expansion reflects the scale of the business being built in Dublin, with the firm expecting to write approximately $800 million in premium in 2025.
The Fidelis Partnership is also championing emerging local talent through its annual scholarship programme with the University of Limerick and its internship programme with Queen’s University Belfast.
Through these investments in local talent and insurance expertise, The Fidelis Partnership has recognised Dublin as a key operational and strategic location for the business and is a key hub for the Group’s technology, data analytics and actuarial teams. Drawing on the support of Minister Robert Troy at Ireland’s Department of Finance, The Fidelis Partnership is also spearheading a working group of specialty insurance CEOs with the objective of positioning Dublin as a European hub for specialty insurance.
