Horseshoe hire for client services

Bermuda-headquartered ILS provider and Artex business Horseshoe has hired Ben Wright as a senior vice president for insurance management.

Wright has 14 years’ experience in wealth and asset management, ILS and insurance, working across a wide range of onshore and offshore hedge funds, private equity and ILS structures.

He joins Horseshoe from Ernst & Young, where he was a manager in its asset management division in Bermuda. He started his career as an auditor with Grant Thornton. At Horshore, he will be responsible for client servicing in Bermuda.

Horseshoe, which has its own Class 3 separate account reinsurer Horshoe Re, was bought by Artex Risk Solutions, the world’s largest ILS service provider, in November 2019. It was recently named Best Offshore Administrator at Hedgeweek magazine’s Americas Awards 2021.
