Ariel Re employee scores top mark in London market exams
Ariel Re employee Brian Darling has been recognised for scoring the highest mark across all exam takers in 2023 on the London Market Essential (LM1) exam.
Bermudian Darling, who is an assistant vice president in portfolio management at Ariel Re, has been awarded the Insurance Institute of London's Bruce Bartell Memorial Prize for Exceptional Achievement as a result.
He has won a cash prize and will be attending an awards ceremony in October where he will be recognized for this amazing achievement, Ariel Re said in a LinkedIn post.
"Well done Brian Darling - your dedication and hard work continue to inspire us all!" Ariel Re said.
Darling has been at Ariel Re since 2020, when he started work in its London office as a software developer in portfolio management. He was promoted to AVP from senior analyst in March, 2024.
A graduate of the University of Warwick, he was part of a team that won the short case award at the IS International Business Case Competition in Madrid in 2020.
He graduated from Warwick Academy in Bermuda in 2017.
