The new Board members join continuing Directors Carmen DeSilva (QBE Re Bermuda), Susan Smith (Ark Insurance) Julia Mather (Falcon Insurance PCC) and Maamoun Rajeh (Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group).

WiRe said its new vision, purpose and values statements are:

Vision: A dynamic community of professional women elevating and supporting each other to drive innovation and excellence.

Purpose: Promote the professional development of women in Bermuda’s reinsurance Industry.

Values:

• Community: a deeply connected network elevating and supporting each other

"Our new vision and purpose statements capture WiRe's commitment to creating more opportunities for women in reinsurance," said White. "Along with our core values, this will guide all our initiatives going forward."

DeSilva added: “In alignment with the update to our vision, purpose, and values we have also taken the opportunity to restructure. We have transformed the event committee to executive committee in recognition of all the work the team does across the four pillars of WiRe which includes networking & mentoring, education & development, media & communications, and treasury & sponsorship. Each board member will be responsible to oversee these pillars and ensure that our Vision Purpose and Values are the driving force behind all decisions.”
