
Sun Life names Sujoy Ghosh CEO to bolster HNW insurance business
Canadian financial services and insurance group Sun Life Financial has appointed Sujoy Ghosh (pictured) as chief executive to drive growth in its high net worth (HNW) insurance segment.
Ghosh will step in to lead Sun Life’s global high net worth (HNW) business, with operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bermuda, in November.
Ghosh brings 27 years’ experience in leadership roles spanning insurance and banking across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He joins Sun Life from Citi, where he was most recently head of global insurance & Asia head, business development - Citi Wealth, responsible for the bank’s global insurance operations and business development in Asia.
Prior to Citi, Ghosh was the regional head of bancassurance for Allianz in Asia Pacific, responsible for establishing and managing commercial and strategic partnerships across Life and General Insurance in Asia Pacific.
Ghosh will report to Manjit Singh, president of Sun Life Asia, and be based in Singapore.
