SiriusPoint appoints former Progressive CFO John Sauerland to board
John Sauerland (pictured), a veteran insurance executive with more than 35 years of industry experience, will join SiriusPoint’s board on January 1.
Sauerland brings financial and governance expertise, most recently from his role as chief financial officer of Progressive Insurance.
Sauerland has also held board positions at Beazley, FedEx Freight, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
SiriusPoint chairman Bronek Masojada said: “John’s combination of deep insurance knowledge, financial expertise, and broad governance experience makes him a strong addition to the Board. He brings a valuable perspective, shaped by a long career in the industry as well as his work with organisations across different sectors, which will add to the breadth of thinking around our board table.”
