RenRe VP joins Everest’s Mt Logan

Everest Group's third-party capital management platform, Mt Logan Capital Management (MLCM), has hired Sun Siang Liew (pictured) to lead its portfolio management and actuarial analytics functions.

As chief analytics officer, he will report to John Modin, chief executive officer of Mt Logan.

Before joining Mt Logan, Liew was senior vice president of portfolio analytics at RenaissanceRe, following its acquisition of Validus Re. At Validus Re, Liew was part of the management team for AlphaCat Managers, its third-party capital affiliate, where he led portfolio analytics and played a pivotal role in investor portfolio construction and product development.

As of January 1, 2025, Everest's third-party capital facilitated by Mt Logan totalled $1.8 billion.

Sun is well-versed in reinsurance affiliated manager offerings, and I look forward to working with him as we enhance our tailored strategies and develop products to meet investors’ objectives and drive MLCM’s continued growth.”
