TMR senior exec to join Aspen Re as property cat head

Aspen Re, the reinsurance segment of Aspen, has appointed Meredith Head as head of North America property catastrophe, effective September 2019.

Head joins from Tokio Millennium Re where she was senior vice president, property catastrophe underwriting. Prior to that she spent 11 years as vice president and deputy manager, property catastrophe underwriting, at PartnerRe.

Based in Bermuda, Head will lead Aspen Re’s property catastrophe treaty reinsurance strategy, along with the Bermuda property treaty business. She will work with head of international catastrophe Andrew Mellor, and report to Christian Dunleavy, chief underwriting officer of Aspen Re and CEO of Aspen Bermuda.
