SiriusPoint recruits new claims head

SiriusPoint Ltd has appointed Trecia Sigle as global head of claims. From 6 February, Sigle will provide overall management and strategic direction for claims across its global underwriting portfolio, including policy and governance, claims handling, and best practices.

Her role will also include building the capability to support SiriusPoint’s growing primary insurance business, including the claims function associated with managing general agent (MGA) partnerships and third-party administrators (TPAs).

She will report to Patrick Charles, global head of property and casualty insurance & services.

Sigle joins from CNA Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries, where she was vice president of TPA and multinational claims, managing claim relationships for domestic and international policies. A lawyer by training, she began her career in insurance in 2001 as staff counsel attorney at Travelers before moving into claims and progressing through the company. Before moving to CAN, she was head of workers’ compensation claims at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.

“SiriusPoint is committed to delivering outstanding customer service, and a responsive and dependable claims function is central to that commitment”, said Charles. “Trecia is an accomplished and experienced claims professional. I look forward to welcoming her and to strengthening this essential part of our organisation.”
