RenRe confirms it will not attend Rendez Vous in September

RenaissanceRe has confirmed it will not be attending the annual re/insurance Rendez Vous in Monte Carlo in September.

RenRe told clients its decision was made partly for practical reasons, because the ongoing uncertainty around restrictions on travel and group congregation has made planning almost impossible.

“More importantly, considering the issues of public safety and economic hardship that many of our communities may well still be experiencing, we want to be thoughtful about limiting and prioritising our travel,” a spokesperson said.

RenRe said its focus is now on its upcoming renewals and the COVID-19 challenges at hand.
