PartnerRe announces new head of structured risk

PartnerRe has announced that its new head of structured risk, North America P&C, is Jonathan Schriber.

According to the company Schriber has extensive experience in structured risk solutions, having specialised in this line of business for much of his 24-year reinsurance career. Working out of PartnerRe’s Stamford office as part of the North America P&C business unit, he will report to Dick Sanford, head of North America P&C and president of PartnerRe US.

Schriber was formerly chief underwriting officer, global reinsurance at WR Berkley Corporation where he was involved in overall underwriting strategy, aggregate management and new product development.

He joined Berkley Re America in July 2007 to manage the North American brokered treaty unit where he developed new lines of business including structured risk and successfully opened a Canadian branch.
