Partner Re hires Markel veteran for catastrophe position

Greg Haft, formerly head of US property catastrophe underwriting at Markel, has been appointed head of catastrophe, Bermuda at Partner Re. Haft will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bermuda catastrophe team with a focus on client and broker relationships in North America.

Haft will report to Brian Secrett, head of catastrophe underwriting. Secrett said: “Greg’s strong technical skills and broad reinsurance knowledge make him a valuable addition and I would like to welcome him to Partner Re and the catastrophe team.”
