New COO at Hiscox Re & ILS

Hiscox has promoted Andrew Dolphin to the position of chief operating officer for Hiscox Re & ILS, leading the firms’ international teams across Bermuda, London and Paris.

According to Hiscox Dolphin’s analytical and commercial skills led him to successfully transition from a technical role in the group reinsurance purchase team to his new position.

Hiscox said that since joining Hiscox in 2000 Dolphin has helped grow the business capability on different fronts, from analytics and underwriting to its underwriting platform development and ensuring pricing rigour across multiple lines.

Dolphin will commence in his new role and join the executive team immediately. Based in London, he will report to Mike Krefta, chief executive officer of Hiscox Re & ILS.

“Andrew’s proven track record of success and strong reputation made him a stand out candidate for this position,” said Krefta. “We are delighted he is now part of the Hiscox RE & ILS executive team.”
