Fixed income investments drive Q3 profit for Enstar

Enstar earned profits of $117.7 million in Q3 2019, a significant turnaround on the $16 million loss reported in the same period of 2018.

The difference in performance is largely explained by the performance of the fixed income investment portfolio, which made Enstar $138 million in Q3 this year, having lost it $24.5 million in the same period last year.

Meanwhile the equities portfolio also performed better this year, earning it $10.2 million in Q3 2019, compared to the $32.7 million loss it generated in Q3 2018.
