Everest taps Ironshore SVP for structured solutions role

Everest Insurance, subsidiary of Bermuda-based Everest Re Group, has appointed Sharone Menczel Poopor as vice president of its structured solutions group.

Based in New Jersey, she will be responsible for underwriting unusual and complex risks.

Poopor joins Everest from Ironshore, she she was senior vice president, senior managing underwriting in its special risk unit.

Prior to that, Poopor worked in Ironshore’s product innovation Group and private equity/financial institutions groups. She started her career at AIG.

“We are pleased to have someone with Sharone’s talent and specialized knowledge join our team,” said Marty Scherzer, head of Everest’s structured solutions group.

“With her significant and diverse experience Sharone will be a great asset as we further build our capabilities to offer unique and innovative solutions for our clients’ most complex and challenging risks.”
