Juan Andrade, Everest Re’s group president and chief executive, has called for people to stand together to “peacefully address the issues of systemic injustice and inequality” in the US.
With the US currently seeing nationwide protests following the death of George Floyd on May 25, Andrade said: “No one should have to fear for their life, be structurally disadvantaged, or be denied basic human and civil rights because of the color of their skin.”
He added: “At Everest, we stand together with our colleagues around the world against racism and discrimination. My commitment to an organisation where employees experience a diverse and inclusive culture is unwavering."
