AXIS Re strengthens LatAm credit focus with Markel hire

AXIS Re, the reinsurance business of AXIS Capital, has appointed Alexander Riveros as a senior underwriter for credit and surety focussing on the Latin American market. He will report to the business’s head of international credit & surety Camilo Rodriguez.

Riveros has worked in the Latin American (re)insurance industry for 25 years. He was previously assistant vice president (AVP) at Guy Carpenter and underwriter AVP for XL Re. Most recently, he was a senior underwriter for surety at Markel International.
