AXIS Re president joins PartnerRe as Americas P&C CEO

PartnerRe has appointed Jonathan Colello, current North America at AXIS Re, as CEO, property/casualty Americas, and president of Partner Reinsurance Company of the US, effective July 1.

Colello will report to Emmanuel Clarke, PartnerRe president and CEO, and will join the company's executive leadership team.

He will have responsibility for leading PartnerRe’s property/casualty business in the US, Canada and Latin America, and for the health business in the US.

While at AXIS Re, Colello was responsible for all underwriting platforms in Bermuda, Canada and the US, and served as a member of the reinsurance leadership team

Prior to that, Colello served as president and chief underwriting officer, US, at AXIS Re.
