Axis Capital plans to relocate London office in 2018

Axis Capital Holdings, a Bermuda-based provider of specialty re/insurance, is expected to re-domicile its London office to new skyscraper, ‘The Scalpel’, in 2018 alongside Lloyd’s of London at 52 Lime Street.

Axis has rented two levels in the 36-storey tower with an area of 31,500 square feet. The re/insurer, which also provides treaty reinsurance worldwide, will be among the first tenants in the tower, which is currently under construction.

“By moving to The Scalpel, we will provide our employees and clients with the benefits of maintaining an office in a world-class facility that is within steps of Lloyd’s of London,” said Mark Gregory, CEO of Axis, international division.

“This move speaks to the continued growth of Axis Capital’s UK operations and our deep commitment to the London market.”
