Assured Guaranty names public finance director

Assured Guaranty, a Bermuda-based holding company, has appointed Christopher Jumper as a director in its public finance group.

Jumper will focus on originating and underwriting new business, and maintaining and expanding relationships with industry clients.

He reports to Jim Binette, managing director, public finance, Eastern Region.

Prior to joining Assured Guaranty, Jumper managed the public utility group as a relationship and portfolio manager at US Bank. Before that, he was a senior director and manager in the public finance division at Fitch Ratings.

Before his time at Fitch, Jumper spent 23 years at financial services company MBIA progressing to the position of managing director, public finance – global utilities.

“We are looking forward to Chris joining our seasoned team of professionals,” said Binette. “He brings thirty years of experience in public finance, more recently executing a variety of transactions in the utility and transportation sectors.”
