Aspen appoints executive vice president

Aspen US Insurance, part of the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance, has hired David Adamczyk as executive vice president, rail, Aspen Insurance.

The appointment to Aspen, which also has operations in Bermuda, will be effective as of 30 November, 2015.

Adamczyk will report to Bob Rheel, president, Aspen US Insurance. He will establish a railroad business line around a targeted customer strategy.

Adamczyk joins the firm from Liberty International Underwriters, where he was senior vice president of the railroad department. He also has previous experience at Arch, Zurich, and CNA.

“Dave has more than thirty years of experience in this specialty railroad market,” said Rheel.

“His expertise is an excellent fit for Aspen's strategy and approach to the market, where deep knowledge is a foundational component to our underwriting. I am delighted to welcome Dave to Aspen.”
