ArgoGlobal poaches StarStone exec for energy underwriter role

ArgoGlobal, the Lloyd’s insurer and member of Bermuda-based Argo Group, has hired Kieran Wilson as onshore energy underwriter.

Wilson joins ArgoGlobal from StarStone Syndicate 1301 at Lloyd’s where, as onshore energy (midstream and downstream) underwriter, he produced a significant proportion of the total gross written premium (GWP) for this line of business, focusing on the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Wilson joined Syndicate 1301 in 2008 and also gained significant expertise in the bloodstock and livestock sector.

Wilson will report to Jodi Davenport, underwriter, onshore/downstream energy.
