Aon strengthens its reinsurance solutions teams in Bermuda and London

Aon has hired Marcus Foley as head of capital management within its reinsurance solutions business in Bermuda, subject to immigration approval.

He joins from Aspen where he has held several positions, most recently serving as group chief capital management and strategy officer. He has also worked as a capital modeler at EMB Consultancy.

Foley will report to Tony Fox, chairman and chief executive officer in Bermuda, and Eric Paire, head of London capital advisory in reinsurance solutions.

Andy Marcell, chief executive officer of reinsurance solutions at Aon, said: “Over the past several years, we have been increasing our capital management advisory capabilities globally.”

Meanwhile, in London Aon has hired Tim Radford to its capital advisory team within reinsurance solutions. He supports the team’s capabilities in Lloyd’s capital optimisation and Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) provision, and reports to James Mackay, head of Lloyd’s relationships within London capital advisory.

Radford joins from insurance-linked securities (ILS) fund manager Securis Investment Partners, where he was involved in the origination, analysis and structuring of all forms of non-life investments. He was also involved with capital raising, focusing on the provision of FAL to Lloyd’s syndicates. He has also worked as a property treaty underwriter at Swiss Re.

Paire highlighted a heightened focus on optimised capital solutions in the re/insurance industry. “Our Lloyd’s capital optimisation and FAL provision team continues to deliver steady growth,” he said.
