Aon revenues up 8% with strongest levels of organic growth since 2006

Aon CEO Greg Case is positive for the firm's 2019 outlook, highglight that its revenue growth for 2018 was the strongest it has been since 2006.

Total revenues increased $772 million (or 8 percent) to $10.8 billion in 2018, including 5 percent organic growth.

Organic revenue growth for Aon's Reinsurance Solutions business was $1.56 billion, up 9 percent year-on-year.

The organic revenue growth from its Commercial Risk Solutions business was $4.65bn, up 12 percent compared to 2017.

The broker's net income for the 12 months ending December 31, 2018, was $1.17bn, a decrease of 7 percent year-on-year from $1.26bn.

"For the full year, we delivered our strongest level of organic revenue growth since 2006 and achieved $8.16 of adjusted earnings per share, fully delivering on our near-term target to exceed $7.97 per share in 2018," said Greg Case, CEO of Aon.

"Our strong performance reflects initial success from the strategic actions we have progressively taken to drive Aon United, while also absorbing significant investments to support long-term growth initiatives. Our team is excited about the momentum we have heading into 2019 and the firm's outlook for substantial long-term client and shareholder value creation."
