Hamilton has recruited Michelle Li, a senior finance veteran from RenaissanceRe, to take on a key leadership role within its London-based specialty underwriting platform.
Li has been appointed as chief financial officer of Hamilton Global Specialty and will be based in London, working with Alex Baker, chief executive officer of Hamilton Global Specialty. She will report to Brian Deegan, group chief accounting officer, and will be part of the company’s global finance function.
Li joins Hamilton from RenaissanceRe, where she held senior finance roles for more than 14 years. Her most recent role was senior vice president and head of finance for Lloyd’s and RenaissanceRe of Europe. Earlier in her career, she worked at PwC in Bermuda and Canada.
Baker said the appointment brings additional “financial discipline” and Lloyd’s market expertise to Hamilton Global Specialty, strengthening the company’s global finance function and supporting continued strategic focus across its underwriting platform.
