Price Forbes Re bolsters life and health with Alexander Ehrlich hire

Price Forbes Re, the reinsurance arm of Ardonagh Specialty, has strengthened its life and health reinsurance offering with the appointment of former Aviva executive Alexander Ehrlich as senior vice president.

Ehrlich (pictured left) will report directly to Isaac Sanday, global head of life and health. Ehrlich, a fellow of the institute and faculty of actuaries, brings more than 20 years of experience with him to the role. He joins from Aviva where he was bulk purchase annuity reinsurance and structuring execution lead. He has also spent time at Aquila Heywood and PwC.

Price Forbes has also named Younkyung Cho (pictured right) vice president, business development actuary, also reporting to Isaac Sanday. Cho has 19 years of experience and joins from Swiss Re, where she spent 11 years and held a variety of roles including senior risk actuary, regional partner EMEA, senior global pricing actuary, and most recently longevity pricing actuary. Her earlier career includes roles at Groupama and SCOR.

In their new roles, Ehrlich and Cho will partner with the growing L&H division to further strengthen capabilities in the bulk purchase annuity/pension risk transfer market, as well as enhance reinsurance advisory and end-to-end reinsurance transaction structuring knowledge.

The appointments continue the buildout of the Price Forbes Re life and health team following the addition of Isaac Sanday and Sanjay Shah last year.

Sanday said: “We pride ourselves on building an exceptionally talented team, and the addition of Alexander and Younkyung is a testament to that commitment. We see significant opportunity within the Life & Health broking space and are keen to grow this business within the broader Ardonagh Group. These appointments reflect our strong growth ambitions in this space, and I’m very excited to welcome them to the team. They are critical to the execution of our strategy for 2026 and beyond.”
