Mosaic moves to iconic Manhattan office building
Bermuda-based Mosaic Insurance has underlined its ambitions to expand in the US bu moving to new offices in an iconic New York City skyscraper.
The company, which has grown to 180 employees around the world since it launched in 2021, has moved from an office in Midtown South in Manhattan to One Grand Central Place opposite Grand Central Station.
“Our new home in this landmark building signals a clear intent and commitment to significantly accelerate growth in the US market,” said co-founder & co-CEO Mark Wheeler. “It is an exciting step that will manifest in greater opportunities for our people, a broader specialty product offering, and enhanced market access for our syndicated capital partners, brokers, and clients.”
The new space accommodates specialists representing five of Mosaic’s seven business lines: environmental liability, political violence, political risk, cyber, and transactional liability. Mosaic also has teams based in its Chicago office, and more in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
“We’re proud to grow Mosaic’s physical presence in New York, and excited to join the Grand Central District’s corporate community,” said co-founder and co-CEO Mitch Blaser. “From the company’s launch in 2021, our strategic plan set its sights on global syndication of specialty underwriting expertise and continued growth and expansion in the US. Our team is focused on innovation and the power of partnerships, and this move underscores our dedication to this vital market.”
Originally named “The Lincoln Building,” for the large bronze statue of the president in its lobby, the 55-story tower dating back to 1930 was renamed in 2009.
