Hannover Re appoints Rhonda Hasell as CFO and general manager

Rhonda Hasell (pictured) has joined Hannover Re Bermuda as chief financial officer and general manager, moving from her role as CFO, global markets, at Munich Re Specialty.

The Bermuda-based reinsurer said Hasell brings over 20 years of experience across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, with the last 10 years spent in the London Market. She has a strong background in finance and a track record in leading transformation and change initiatives.

Hasell has been with Munich Re Specialty for nearly five years. Prior to that, she worked for the Lancashire Insurance Group as the head of FP&A and later, head of finance for Lancashire Syndicates.

Hasell was also a financial consultant at her own business, Rhonda Attwood Consulting, for six years after working at several major companies, including First Assist (now Cigna Insurance Services) and General Electric, earlier in her career.
