Everen taps AXA XL's Carla Greaves to be CUO
Carla Greaves (pictured) has been appointed chief underwriting officer at Everen Specialty and will assume the role later this year.
The Bermuda-based re/insurer for global energy markets has hired Greaves from AXA XL, where she served as global chief underwriting officer for casualty. Her appointment came as Everen Specialty developed a three-year strategic plan to strengthen its underwriting platform and support long-term growth.
She succeeds Jane Peterson, interim CUO, who will continue in a consultancy capacity to facilitate the transition bringing more than 30 years of underwriting and leadership experience.
Prior to joining Everen, Greaves held increasingly senior leadership positions, most recently serving as global CUO for casualty at AXA XL in Bermuda. She was previously chief excess casualty underwriter at XL Capital from 2011 to 2020.
