Enstar aims to boost presence in EU and M&A markets

Re/insurance group Enstar is bidding to strengthen its position in the European Union and the international legacy market with the promotion of a new chief executive officer of its European subsidiary.

Bermuda-based Enstar said Nick Crossley will be CEO of Enstar EU, replacing interim CEO Paul Brockman, who will maintain his position as group COO.

“Nick is well-placed to lead our EU/International region going forward: his appointment supports business development and M&A growth and will further progress the ambition of our EU/International business – strengthening Enstar’s position as a legacy partner of choice in the region,” the company said.

Additionally, Tanvi Patel has been promoted to senior vice president of M&A to bolster its leadership team:

Crossley has been at Enstar since 2019 and previously led its European and London market M&A capability. He has more than 20 years of experience in transaction advisory for blue-chip institutions, private equity and owner-managers on UK domestic and international transactions.

Patel moved within the M&A team from transaction actuarial to corporate finance earlier this year. She has been with Enstar for almost five years, most recently as vice president of M&A in London. She previously worked at Deloitte and Beazley.

Enstar said: “With a wealth of transactional experience and solid actuarial foundation we are confident she is ideally positioned to lead the M&A team in London.”
