
Axis names Kyle Sternadori and Mike Flaherty to expanded US casualty roles
Axis has strengthened its US casualty platform with the appointment of Kyle Sternadori as head of US excess casualty and Mike Flaherty as chief underwriting officer, wholesale casualty, as it invests in the long-term growth of its wholesale casualty business.
Sternadori has joined Axis from The Hartford, bringing more than 20 years of casualty underwriting and leadership experience.
Sternadori will lead the strategic direction, underwriting performance and market development of Axis’s excess casualty business. His remit will include developing teams and broker relationships and pursuing new market opportunities.
Flaherty will continue working with leaders across Axis to advance underwriting excellence, strengthen portfolio performance and support sustainable growth across the wholesale casualty platform.
Sternadori is based in Short Hills, New Jersey, while Flaherty is based in Alpharetta, Georgia. Both will report to Anna Tan, head of wholesale casualty.
