AXA XL Bermuda appoints head of P&C

AXA XL has appointed Mark Flanagan has been appointed to the new role of head of property & casualty, Bermuda.

Flanagan, who reports to Noel Pearman, chief underwriting officer, Bermuda within AXA XL’s Insurance business, has more than 20 years of underwriting experience, including the past 12 years with AXA XL.

The company said his responsibilities include leading the Bermuda P&C underwriting team with a focus on growing the property line of business ; developing and managing client relationships across both lines of business; and leading a client-centric approach in providing consistent, innovative and customized solutions.

Mr. Flanagan was formerly senior vice president, chief property underwriter / head of property Bermuda at AXA XL.

Pearman said : “We congratulate Mark on his appointment to this new role. Given Mark’s industry experience and knowledge as well as his successful track record in leading our profitable Property business, we are confident that our Bermuda Insurance P&C Team will strengthen AXA XL’s position in the Bermuda market.”

The Bermuda Property & Casualty Leadership Team members reporting to Mr. Flanagan are: Rebecca Dupré – Senior Vice President, Head of Casualty Products; Karen Smith – Senior Vice President, Casualty Products; Arketa Tucker – Senior Vice President, Product Line Leader; Stephanie Outerbridge – Vice President, Property Underwriting Manager.
