
Risk Summit hosts track on careers and opportunities
A Future Leaders Forum aimed at connecting students and career changers with opportunities in the Bermuda re/insurance industry will be held at the Bermuda Risk Summit, which is taking place in Bermuda this week.
The Bermuda Business Development Agency said the forum will take place on Wednesday, the third and last day of the summit.
The BDA said the forum would feature panel discussions, networking sessions, and mentorship opportunities, the event is set to bridge the gap between emerging talent and leading industry professionals.
“The Future Leaders Forum is not just another networking event—it is about investing in Bermuda’s talent pool and creating clear pathways for the next generation to thrive in our industry,” said Olivia Joell (pictured), stakeholder relationship manager at the BDA. “We want to empower students and career changers with knowledge, connections, and inspiration to see the risk sector as a viable and rewarding career choice.”
The Future Leaders Forum aims to highlight the diverse career paths available, from finance and actuarial science to underwriting, risk management, and broking, helping to build a sustainable pipeline of industry talent for the future.
Participants will engage in interactive sessions, including:
• Panel Discussion: “Future Leaders in Risk – Building Skills for the Next Generation” – Industry professionals will discuss career pathways, essential skills, and scholarship opportunities.
• Educational Pathways in Risk & Insurance – Experts will showcase degree programmes, certifications, and training options.
• Table Talks with Industry Professionals – Attendees will have direct access to experienced professionals who will share insights into their career journeys and the evolving risk landscape.
