XL Catlin names country manager for Switzerland
XL Catlin has appointed Michael Rüsch as country manager for its insurance operations in Switzerland, effective July 1.
Rüsch is currently underwriting manager, casualty, responsible for Switzerland and Asia Pacific, as well as head of the CUO office for the international casualty unit. Alongside his new role as country manager Rüsch will maintain his position as underwriting manager, casualty for Switzerland.
Rüsch joined XL in 1997 holding various underwriting and management roles with a wide geographical remit, including the UK, Ireland, Asia, Australia, France, Italy, Iberia and Latin America. He began his insurance career at Winterthur Insurance.
