XL appoints Devaux-Piquer to head up European casualty reinsurance

XL has appointed Valerie Devaux-Piquer as casualty underwriting manager, European reinsurance.

Devaux-Piquer will be based in Paris and will report to Marcus Gonzales, general manager UK branch and head of international casualty reinsurance.

Commenting on the appointment David Watson, president and CEO of XL Re Europe said: “Valérie’s very broad experience of working across European markets and beyond, stands her in good stead to drive forward our Casualty business. Her deep understanding of these diverse markets will add additional expertise and knowledge to the team.”
