Willis Re gets its boots on the ground in Tampa

Willis Re has opened a new operation in Tampa, Florida, as it continues to expand its reinsurance presence in the North American market.

For Willis Re, Tampa is an important step in the company's expansion of its footprint in North America, providing an on–the–ground presence to serve clients and engage with prospective clients in the key state of Florida, as the firm seeks to capitalise on the significant production successes achieved in recent years.

The office will be led by Ken Vincent, executive vice president, who previously spent over 15 years with Willis Re in Minneapolis. Ken will be joined by Ian Hanson, treaty analyst, who also moves from Minneapolis, as well as a number of other Willis Re professionals.

Ken Vincent said: “Willis Re has historically maintained a significant presence in Florida, with a number of domestic clients. This newly–created office will provide us with local presence to enrich the practical and technical support services we deliver to the growing list of customers we serve in Florida and the South East.
