New CEO for Langhorne Re’s US subsidiaries
Steve Zonca has been appointed as chief executive officer (CEO) of Langhorne Re’s United States-based operating subsidiaries.
Zonca’s experience spans 35 years, with more than 20 years of senior management responsibilities and experience in pricing, product development, valuation, and financial reporting of most life, annuity, and health products. As CEO, he will be responsible for leading the operations and strategy of Langhorne Re’s US operating subsidiaries.
Zonca was previously a senior vice president in the financial solutions business at RGA. In this role, he was responsible for the pricing, structuring, evaluation, and risk management of all transactions generated by the business line. Prior to RGA, Zonca was a vice president with CalFarm Life Insurance Company, Certus Financial, and Amex Life Insurance Company.
Langhorne Re was launched in January 2018 by Reinsurance Group of America and RenaissanceRe Holdings. Earlier this year, Langhorne Re also acquired an Arizona-domiciled insurer licensed in 47 states and the District of Columbia. According to the company the acquisition will strengthen Langhorne Re’s ability to pursue large in-force life and annuity blocks in the US market and provide clients with long-term capital management solutions.
