Langhorne executives appointed
Craig Fowler has been appointed chief executive officer of Langhorne Reinsurance (Bermuda), the Bermuda underwriting platform of Langhorne Holdings.
He previously worked for National Life Group in Vermont as its head of corporate development, where he was responsible for initiating and running the Institutional Markets business and Capital Management for the organisation. Prior to that he worked for Transamerica where he served as Treasurer and head of business development for Institutional Markets, in addition to having responsibility for Transamerica’s Bermuda companies.
Fowler is one of the founding members of Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers (BILTIR).
In addition Langhorne Holdings announced that Andrew Markus has been appointed chief operating officer and general counsel of the Company and its Bermuda-based subsidiaries. He served as a consultant to Langhorne in connection with its capital raise and was previously general counsel and chief compliance officer at Maritime Finance Company, a Bermuda-based specialty finance company focused on the maritime industry.
Both appointments are subject to Bermuda Department of Immigration approval.
