Hiscox appoints former AIG executive Adam Denninger as COO

Bermuda-based insurer Hiscox has appointed Adam Denninger (pictured), a former senior executive at AIG and The Hartford, as chief operating officer to bolster its US leadership team.

Reporting to Mary Boyd, CEO of Hiscox USA, he will also serve on the Hiscox US leadership team.

Hiscox said Denninger will lead its US operations across strategy, transformation, data, and delivery.

With more than 25 years in operations, product, and underwriting leadership, Denninger was most recently global industry leader for insurance at Capgemini. He previously served as COO at EIS Group, vice president of personal lines at the Hartford, and chief underwriting officer for global auto and home at AIG.

Boyd said: “From making the day-to-day smoother for our employees to ensuring we make a customer’s day a little brighter, gold-standard operations are at the heart of all we do. Adam has showcased that gold standard throughout his career.

“Having served as an underwriting, product and operations executive for leading companies across the industry, Adam has a proven track record of significantly boosting revenue, supercharging efficiency across the business, and finetuning underwriting systems,” Boyd added.
