Morgan Stanley exec joins Global Atlantic as CRO

Bermuda-based multi-line re/insurance company Global Atlantic Financial Group has appointed Peter Cai as chief risk officer (CRO).

Cai will report directly to chief financial officer Kim Lee.

He joins from Morgan Stanley, where he served as managing director leading a global team responsible for measuring, stress testing and reporting risk across all business segments. Cai also worked as a fixed income risk strategist for Lehman Brothers and was head of consulting for Askari.

Lee said: “Bringing Peter on board further emphasizes our dedication, at the highest level, to sound risk management. Peter’s experience and knowledge will be instrumental in helping drive Global Atlantic’s strategic objectives.”
