Givelet to lead new ACE environmental task force

Nicholas Givelet has been appointed risk engineer in its Continental Europe environmental insurance team as it continues to invest in building its environmental risk expertise.

Dorothee Prunier, environmental risk manager for continental Europe, said: “environmental liability is one of Europe’s key emerging risks and it is strategic growth area for ACE. By building an environmental risk engineering taskforce of internal and external experts, we will ensure that our clients have access to the best possible combination of underwriting and risk engineering expertise both for standalone and multinational programmes.”

Givelet will assist the pan-European underwriting and claims teams on technical matters, as well as liaising with ACE’s clients and suppliers. He will also coordinate and manage a team of specialist external consultants to support specific projects in key markets.

Prunier concluded: “given his extensive understanding of environmental risk from an insurance, broking, academic and technical perspective, Nicolas will be a great asset to our growing European environmental risk team.”
