Former Shipowners’ P&I Club CEO joins Shoreline board of consultants
Shoreline Ltd has appointed the former CEO of the Shipowners’ P&I Club to its board of consultants.
Bermuda-based Shoreline, which offers niche insurance solutions that complement shipowners’ P&I insurance cover, said Simon Swallow “will play a pivotal role in shaping Shoreline's strategic direction and offering invaluable insights to further enhance the ongoing diversification of the company's insurance and risk management services”.
Swallow joined the Shipowners’ P&I Club in 1991 and became CEO in 2015 during a period of heightened market competition from the commercial insurance sector, Shoreline said.
Under his leadership, the club expanded to include over 8,500 Members and more than 33,000 entered vessels.
“This growth was underpinned by a strong financial capital base and a reputation for delivering excellent service standards to owners of smaller and specialist commercial ships,” Shoreline said.
Thomas Brown, Shoreline’s CEO, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Simon Swallow to our esteemed Board of Consultants. His remarkable track record in the marine insurance industry and his profound understanding of the sector's nuances will be invaluable to Shoreline Ltd as we continue to provide cutting-edge insurance solutions to our clients.
“Simon's appointment reflects our commitment to delivering the highest standards of expertise and service excellence."
Swallow said: "I am honoured to join Shoreline's Board of Consultants and contribute to the company's continued success. Shoreline has earned a stellar reputation for its innovative solutions and unwavering commitment to the maritime insurance industry.
“I look forward to collaborating with the talented team at Shoreline and helping the company navigate the challenges and opportunities in this dynamic sector."
