Everest launches professional liability policy aimed at architects and designers

Everest Insurance has released a new product called the Everest Elevation Architects and Engineers Professional Liability Policy, which provides design professionals with professional, pollution and cyber liability coverage.

Everest Elevation was developed to address the intricate and unique coverage needs of architectural, design, engineering and construction firms. It offers a variety of coverage enhancements and expense reimbursements for crisis events, disciplinary proceedings, first party cyber security incidents, subpoena compliance and peer review programmes.

Everest provides coverage on both a primary and excess basis up to $15 million in limits for all architects and engineers inclusive of project specific coverage. It said it is one of a few carriers to offer third-party cyber coverage in its base form.

Joshua Kranz, vice president of professional liability at Everest, said the product had been developed in response to feedback from brokers and insureds.
